Hanlon is an established neighborhood in Northwest Baltimore consisting of 55 tree-lined blocks bordering Gwynns Falls Parkway to the South, Garrison Blvd to the West, Powhatan Avenue to the North, and Hanlon Park to the East. The Hanlon neighborhood began as a part of the Vickers estate back around the turn of the century, and was later developed into several large estates and summer homes. The area was later established as a suburb of Baltimore City. Hanlon residents can boast of having a City park, tennis courts, and a lake in their backyard, with a major shopping mall, state university, and the Maryland Zoo within minutes from their doors!
